KidZone is designed with kids in mind! Each week kids in Kindergarten-Grade
5 experience fun, creative Bible teaching which includes drama skits,
music, puppets and videos! We use Promiseland curriculum from Willowcreek
Community Church. (for more information, click on the "Promiseland" link
below).
During large group time (the
first half of the hour) grades K-5 are together for Bible teaching. They
participate in praise and worship then experience a Bible story presented
in a fun, kid-friendly manner. They may see a live drama sketch, watch
a video or view a puppet show. Teachers often dress in zany costumes and
act out parts to help get the story across. Large group time is kid-targeted
and application-oriented - helping kids connect with God.
During the last half of the hour, kids participate in a small group with
8-10 other children in the same age range. This time is focused on helping
kids apply the Bible truth they just learned in large group time to their
lives. Groups share prayer needs and pray together each week.
